About the Role

As a Mechanical Drafting / Design Technician, you will play an active role in the design and drafting of mechanical parts and assemblies for our LiDAR products. You will be involved at multiple stages of development, from modeling to close collaboration with prototyping and procurement teams.

You will work closely with engineering and prototyping teams to ensure technical feasibility, design quality, and optimized solutions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Model parts, components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies using various manufacturing processes.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
Develop drawings based on information provided in plans and technical specifications.
Analyze and assess the technical feasibility of projects.
Actively participate in design reviews.
Collaborate closely with prototyping teams throughout project development.
Research appropriate components and coordinate purchasing with the procurement team.
Manage drawing modification requests by working closely with local suppliers.
Contribute to all related tasks associated with the role.

What We Are Looking For

College diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering with a specialization in design, or a diploma in mechanical drafting
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks
Ability to thrive in a fast-evolving environment
Strong autonomy, creativity, and initiative
Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills
Adaptability and attention to detail
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written (mandatory)
